Happy Valentine's Day, Divas!     

Let's see, flowers & candy, or one of these babies loaded with fine, fermented grape juice?

    I don't know why everyone calls this the off season, I've been on overdrive since the first of the year.  First, there was a trade show where we exhibited Cape Cod Colors - now you can find Cape Cod Colors Sea Glass at the Mendon Country Gift Barn in Mendon, MA, Shirley's Hallmark in Falmouth, Maine, The Country Carriage in Meredith, New Hampshire, The Vintage Chic Boutique in Newburyport and Jay's Hallmark in Bennington, Vermont....along with about 100 other locations throughout New England...

From there, I went straight to Atlanta for my annual shopping orgy - it never, ever fails to

delight, believe me.  Brought home lovely new jewelry, scarves, and ordered even more, plus handbags, cell phone accessories (which was the dominant new product category at the shows - you can trick out your iPhone better than your kids; just sayin')

re-ordered some old favorites (like these wine racks) and of course, bought a lot of new and different... we've always thought of ourselves as being a relatively diverse gift shop, and while a lot of us think jewelry is the ultimate gift, we also found other cute things, like these "Braggables" - little cell-phone/wallets/wristlets and matching agendas.  You can take a picture with that aforementioned iPhone, download it and print it up and make it into the cover of the agenda or wallet.  Great gift for Mom, grandma, sister, aunt - or yourself.

Texting Gloves in New Colors!

       are Back...

Texting Gloves were clearly the hit of this past winter season, a  practical solution to the dilemma touch screen presents in cold weather.  These REALLY WORK.  No more taking off your gloves and freezing to answer your phone, to send off a quick text message, to check your email.  These gloves are made with "conductive fibers" stitched into the thumbs and index fingers that mimic the electrical impulse that makes your touch screen respond ( and we all thought it was heat - hah!)  These are great for everyone with a touch screen cell phone or tablet - and all $20 or less...

2. Furry Scrunchy Scarves are Back!

Alex and Ani Bangle Bracelets

  If you don't know about Alex and Ani yet, well, I just don't know where you've been...

   This  is a jewelry line from Rhode Island, all crafted from recycled metal, all made right here in New England and it's flying out of our store.  We just received our reorder, so for those of you who were waiting for the initial, or for the zodiac sign or for any of the cutest icons, come on down. We have a HUGE selection of  a lot of these designs and we will take special orders from customers at any time.  See Kim at the store. 

     Last year  the "turtle" icon become very popular, and believe me, I saw so many turtle jewelry pieces, I can't begin to count.  I did bring quite a few home, so if that little turtle pulls at your heartstrings, he can now have a place dangling from your ears, wrapped around your wrist or dangling in front of your heart.

New Seaglass

 Ah, yes, the jewelry sellers see me coming, they know me by name in many major cities...

Look at these great seaglass cuffs - a great addition to all of the beautiful seaglass we offer.  They are silver-tone with solid color or multi color seaglass stones.  A little more dramatic, but very pretty.

New! Joolz Buzzards Bay Bracelet

 And Look at the newest addition to the Joolz Hayworth Line - a nautical map bracelet for Buzzards Bay - Mattapoisett Harbor, Padanarum, Horseneck Beach -all my old stomping grounds -  the South Coast / Buzzards Bay edition of this fabulous jewelry.  It's very similar to the Cape Cod map bracelet that we've sold dozens of already.   We have a very linited number of these, so if this is something you'd be interested in for Valentine's day, come on in now, or call Kim at the store...

Lucky Feather Jewelry

Lucky Feather is a line I found in Atlanta that's a silver plated icon necklace on a little card with a message. 

 These are very nicely detailed and finished, and they come with an adjustable chain.  We've carried similar things before, but the quality on these is much finer, and the presentation is lovely.

These will make a perfect birthday gift, or valentine's gift for the mature tween or teenager, and it comes in at that magic $19.99 price point...

"bling" in the south in a very big way.

  The first day I get there, really, my eyes hurt, there's so much bling.  On the second day I'm giving it a long look, and on the third day I wake up and think, gee, I need to be wearing a little (lot) more

sparkle, my one pendant feels lonely.....

So I was seduced into this "faux drusy", which is actually a lot of fun.  These are stretchy bracelets that will add a little flash to an outfit without costing you an arm and a leg and without taking your eye out...another big $19.99.

 (Yes, I am wearing one of these - along with a big, shiny, drippy crystal necklace bling... it's  like the pods got me, and now I can't stop...)

Platinum Drusy, Onyx, Blue Topaz

        And just in case you thought I didn't buy any new fine jewelry, just get a look at this set of  (real) platinum drusy, onyx and blue topaz pendant and earrings. 

        These come from one of my favorite designers, Jeff Kohnfelder of Obsidian Jewelry from Dallas.  Jeff has the best eye for stone, and the quality of his drusy is unsurpassed.  This is the stuff you see in the front case, and when you look at it, the color, sparkle and design  literally takes your breath away.  Like this.
